This glass allows a wide range of aromatics to unfold. Unlike a flute, the egg-shaped design allows the complex layers to grow and intensify, and the larger rim diameter enables them to be released in a way that is not achieved with a narrow glass.

As part of the Performance series, this shape was re-developed in 2018. RIEDEL Performance is the first wine glass series to feature bowls with a light optic impact for better aromatics. Co-designed by Georg and Maximilian Riedel, RIEDEL Performance is a technologically advanced and user-friendly collection of grape varietal-specific glasses.
